Privacy policy

eazyloan operates a platform that compares your loan request against a network of authorized partner lenders in Canada, then redirects you to the lender that best matches your situation. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have. It applies to the eazyloan.ca website.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Application-form answers: requested amount, province of residence, employment situation, monthly-income bracket, and age confirmation (18 or older). These questions do not ask for your name, postal address, or banking details.
- Email address: only if you enter it at the last step of the form and tick the consent box. It is used to follow up on your request and, based on your consent, to send you offers and marketing communications.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, date and time, referring site.
- Cookies and campaign parameters: campaign identifiers (utm_source, utm_medium, etc.) and ad-click identifiers, passed along to the partner lender to track your request.
When you continue your application with a partner lender, it is the lender, not eazyloan, that collects the information required to assess and fund a loan (identity, income, bank verification, etc.), under its own privacy policy.
2. Why we use your information
- To compare your request against our network of partner lenders and route you to the best fit.
- To operate, secure and improve the site, and measure its usage.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
- To contact you about your request and, where you have consented, send you offers and carry out advertising retargeting.
3. Who we share your information with
- Authorized partner lenders: when you choose to continue your request, the relevant information (form answers, campaign identifiers) is passed to the partner lender you're redirected to.
- Service providers: web hosting (Hostinger International Ltd., headquartered in Lithuania, infrastructure operated from data centers located outside Quebec, primarily in North America), web analytics and security, acting on our behalf and bound by confidentiality commitments.
- Google: when you provide your email with consent, your email address and form answers are stored in Google Sheets (provided by Google LLC) for our internal follow-up and communications. This service is operated from servers located in the United States.
- Advertising platforms: if you accept marketing cookies and finish the form, Google Ads (Google LLC) and Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Corporation) receive a normalized, SHA-256-hashed version of your email address to match the conversion to an ad interaction. Meta receives the “Lead” conversion event and technical identifiers (IP address, browser, and Meta cookies where present). Eazyloan's implementation does not directly send your email address to Meta; any additional processing depends on the Meta account settings.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
Communication outside Quebec: because web hosting is provided by Hostinger, certain technical information (server logs, IP address) may be processed outside Quebec. Before such communication, we ensure the provider offers adequate protection through contractual commitments (data processing agreement) and recognized security measures (TLS in transit, encryption at rest, ISO 27001 certification). In accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, we have assessed the privacy factors relating to this communication.
Likewise, when you give us your email address with your consent, it is stored in Google Sheets and may be processed in the United States. Before such communication, we ensure adequate protection through contractual commitments and recognized security measures (TLS in transit, encryption at rest), and we have assessed the privacy factors. You can withdraw your consent or request deletion of your email at any time at info@eazyloan.ca.
4. Cookies
The site uses essential cookies (required to function) and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can accept, refuse or customize your choice via the cookie banner, and change it at any time using the “Manage cookies” link.
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law, after which it is destroyed or anonymized.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may: request access to the information we hold about you; ask us to correct it; withdraw your consent; request portability of certain information; and file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca) if you live in Quebec, or with your province's competent authority.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect information against loss, unauthorized access or disclosure. No internet transmission is, however, completely secure.
